Hello, it's Sophie! I hope you and your loved ones are well navigating those crazy times. I am grateful to say our community has been thriving in spite of the many challenges. Community love, that is something ❤️
Here are a few things I have curated for you to enjoy and some updates on what's happening with us at LVRSNFRNDS. Oh and I thought I'd add a surprise right at the end... Welcome to this first edition of the LVRSNFRNDS Courrier!

Thought you’d like to read these, I did.
Gender - 'It’s how I feel. It’s not how you feel': four teens explain why they reject the gender binary - This Guardian series highlights the experiences and perspectives of non-binary and other gender-nonconforming young people. As a gender-nonconforming person, I always find it super interesting to learn about others experience. Representation, representation, representation.
Consent - Why More Children’s Books Are Tackling Sexual Harassment and Abuse - This New York Times articles establishes how stories involving consent and violence are important for some preteens to read, but a sensitive approach and a light touch are key. I say it seems to be about time that we trade our good ol’ rape culture for a culture of consent!
LGBTQ - I May Destroy You’s Kwame honours the Black British gay male experience - In I May Destroy You, a powerful new drama about consent, race and trauma, Paapa Essiedu’s character is a vital starting point for lives rarely explored in all their complexities on TV. Who gets to be vulnerable? Who is the “right kind of victim”? You hear me when I say me too, I also want you to hear me when I say “them too”.

I’m so proud! I have to tell you about this.
We've been honoured to host our first book club with Meg-John Barker! They joined us for a genuine, interactive and refreshing conversation on their book Rewriting the Rules. Big big fan!
Our Sunday discussion group Salon is growing stronger every week as we help each other with questions about joining existing open relationships, managing toxic friendships, navigating interracial dating or “mastering” masturbation!
Everyday, we keep receiving the nicest feedback ever! Did I already tell you about community love? I would like to share the following in particular before running to the tattoo parlour and get it all over my body. Thought you'd like it too!

On our community forum, in addition to learning about each other's passions, some of us were surprised and intrigued to learn that kegel exercises are great for people with penises too! Were you aware of this?
We’ve just started a collective blog on Medium! Check it out to read one of our member narrating his experience at Killing Kittens under the pseudonym Dick van Dyke (I bet you’re already excited!) and our collective review of dating app Feeld.
🎵 Music
Because ‘Music makes the people come together’.
I think a great woman once sang that… Anyway… We have a playlist on Spotify!
Let me know in the comment if you want more of this and how you like it (consent always!). If you’re a member of LVRSNFRNDS 🌹 use our community forum to discuss further anything you’ve spotted here. Have a lovely July!

Do you even know who I am?
I am the founder of LVRSNFRNDS, a sex positive, conversation focused community that started with a unique monthly rendezvous called Risqué I used to host in London and Paris until... Well you know, mid March.
What is LVRSNFRNDS again?
LVRSNFRDNDS is the safe and friendly community you may have been looking for to explore love, sex and relationships. We curate connections for our members to enjoy open and honest conversations on demand.
How does it work?
Membership is €15/month (€5/month concessionary rate). It gives you access to our community forum and our online events: Salon a weekly discussion group even better than the best group of friends on demand, Roulette a bimonthly social with a friendship-first approach and effortless connection with fascinating people. We also host book and film clubs.
How does it feel?
According to our members? Great! They must be biased but they think that we are 'an amazing community' where it feels like 'home' as they can be open and honest with one another and engage in meaningful conversations. Precious, right?
Is this a good time to join?
Oh yes! As our online community is now 350+ members on 3 continents, it's an amazing time to become a member of LVRSNFRNDS and expand your social circle with fascinating people from LA to Tel Aviv.
How can I join?
Sign up! Remember though that we have a member selection process, which is essential to our success, our members are everything!
